Instrument Flight Procedures Updated

Starting April 29, 2026, the FAA amends, suspends, or removes certain Standard Instrument Approach Procedures (SIAPs), Takeoff Minimums, and Obstacle Departure Procedures (ODPs) to address new navigation equipment, obstacles, or air-traffic needs. These changes are intended to keep instrument flights safe and efficient and may be made effective in less than 30 days when safety requires it.

Specific Putnam County Procedure Changes

Two procedures at Putnam County Regional (Greencastle, IN) are amended: RNAV (GPS) RWY 36, Amdt 2 (FDC 6/9577, FDC date 4/8/2026) and VOR-A, Amdt 7 (FDC 6/9578, FDC date 4/8/2026). These amendments are scheduled with an AIRAC date of June 11, 2026 and will be effective at 0901 UTC on the dates specified.

SIAPs Available Online Free

All SIAPs and Takeoff Minimums and ODPs are available online free of charge at the National Flight Data Center (nfdc.faa.gov) by registering. Individual copies may also be obtained from the FAA Air Traffic Organization Service Area for the affected airport.

No Significant Small-Entity Economic Impact

The FAA certified that this amendment will not have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities under the Regulatory Flexibility Act and that the anticipated impact is minimal.
