Permission Required to Transit

Only vessels authorized by the Captain of the Port Detroit or their designated representative may enter the regulated area; to request permission contact the COTP or the representative on VHF‑FM channel 16 and follow any lawful orders. The rule is enforced from 5 p.m. on June 5, 2026, through 10 a.m. on June 6, 2026, and applies to transiting vessels including commercial ferries.
