Temporary No‑Entry Safety Zone

If you operate a boat on the Willamette River near downtown Portland, you may not enter the safety zone within a 450-yard radius of the fireworks launch site at approximately 45°30'58" N, 122°40'12" W. This restriction is in effect from 8:50 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on May 22, 2026, and on May 30, 2026, unless you are specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port or their representative.

How to Request Zone Access

If you need to enter the safety zone during the fireworks, you must get authorization from the Captain of the Port (COTP) or the COTP's designated representative. To seek permission, contact the COTP on VHF‑FM channel 16 or by telephone at 1 (833) 769-8724; anyone in the zone must follow lawful orders from the COTP or their designated representative during the enforcement periods on May 22 and May 30, 2026.
