Temporary Safety Zone in Bancroft Canal
If you operate or use a boat on the Bancroft Canal in Cameron Parish, LA, you may not enter the marked area between coordinates 30°01'12.67" N, 093°37'23.07" W and 30°01'12.03" N, 093°36'18.60" W from May 6, 2026 through June 1, 2026 unless the Captain of the Port (Port Arthur) or a designated representative authorizes you. The zone is enforced every day from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; to request permission contact VHF-FM channel 13 or 16 or call 337-912-0073.
