More military recruiter access to schools

If enacted, schools would have to give military recruiters the same campus access as other employers for students age 17 or older. At a recruiter's request, schools would have to host at least four in-person recruitment events per academic year, spread across different grading periods. If enacted, schools would have to provide student directory information within 60 days after the school year starts, and within 30 days after a recruiter request. Directory information would include student names, grade, addresses, school-provided email if available, and phone numbers. The bill would override the cited restriction in 20 U.S.C. 1232g(a)(5) for these disclosures.
