New federal task force on illegal vapes

If enacted, this bill would create a federal Task Force 30 days after enactment to fight illegal e-cigarettes. The Attorney General and the HHS Secretary would co-chair it and it would include representatives from FDA, DOJ, CBP, ATF, USMS, Postal Inspection Service, FTC, HSI, FBI, and other agencies as appointed. The Task Force would develop and implement a strategy to reduce unauthorized e-cigarettes, meet at least once every 30 days, and send semiannual reports (due April 30 and October 31) that list each agency's authorities, actions during the prior 6-month period, recommendations for new authorities, and areas for better collaboration. The Task Force would terminate 10 years after it is established.
