Summary
Extends the authorization window for building middle mile broadband in rural areas. This bill would amend the Rural Electrification Act of 1936 by replacing the 2018–2023 authorization window in Section 602(g) with 2026–2031, extending the period during which middle mile expansion activities are authorized while preserving the current statutory framework and leaving funding, eligibility, and program rules unchanged.
