Plans must cover reversal if transition covered

In Utah, if a health plan covers hormones or surgery for a sex transition, it must also cover hormones or surgery to reverse it. This applies to plans renewed or started on or after January 1, 2027. The law took effect on May 6, 2026. This can lower large out-of-pocket costs for people who need reversal care.
