4 provisions identified: 4 benefits, 0 costs, 0 mixed.
Beginning January 1, 2026, if your property is in a county of the first class, both the value notice and the tax bill list any city library levy on a separate line. This shows exactly how much the library levy adds. It does not change the amount you owe.
Beginning January 1, 2026, if your tax bill shows an assessment area charge, the bill must state that paying it may not cover all you owe to that entity and may not release the lien. This helps you avoid confusion about separate debts.
Beginning January 1, 2026, the county auditor sends your annual property value notice by July 22. The notice uses the “minimum basic tax rate” label to match state law. This earlier, clearer notice helps you review values and appeal on time. It does not change how much tax you owe.
Beginning January 1, 2026, you may choose email delivery for both valuation and tax payment notices. For valuation notices, the auditor must verify you got the email; if not verified 14 or more days before the board hearing, they must mail it. You can revoke email for valuation by April 30 and for tax bills by October 1. The treasurer still must send the tax payment notice on or before November 1. Email delivery does not change payment due dates or appeal deadlines.
