Utah Soil Health Program runs to 2036

The law keeps the Utah Soil Health Program in place until July 1, 2036. Before, it was set to end in 2026. Beginning May 6, 2026, the new repeal date is July 1, 2036. Farms and ranches that use this program keep access to its support until that date.

Law takes effect May 6, 2026

The law takes effect on May 6, 2026. That date starts these amendments. The repeals listed above happen on their July 1 dates.

New end dates for farm boards

The law sets new end dates for several agriculture and wildlife boards. State Weed Committee ends July 1, 2026. Domesticated Elk advisory council ends July 1, 2027. The Land Conservation Board and related sections (4-46-304(2)(d) and 4-46-401(3)(a)) end July 1, 2027. Agricultural Advisory Board ends July 1, 2028. Utah Grazing Improvement Program Advisory Board ends July 1, 2032. Agricultural and Wildlife Damage Prevention Board and its duties end July 1, 2034. Livestock Brand Board ends July 1, 2035. Until those dates, these bodies continue to operate under current law.
