Lower Utah income tax for residents

The law lowers the resident income tax rate from 4.5% to 4.45%. It applies to your Utah state taxable income. Residents who are exempt under state law remain exempt. The new rate applies to tax years that begin on or after January 1, 2026. The law takes effect May 6, 2026.

Lower Utah corporate income tax rate

The law lowers Utah's corporate income tax rate from 4.5% to 4.45%. Corporations still owe at least $100. The 4.45% rate also applies when Utah taxes only a corporation's Utah-source income. Corporations that are exempt under state law remain exempt. The new rate applies to tax years that begin on or after January 1, 2026. The law takes effect May 6, 2026.
