Veterans and service members use military training for licenses

Beginning May 6, 2026, the Division of Professional Licensing gives credit for relevant military skills and training. This applies when a veteran or service member applies for a license and lacks some training or education. The division decides what military experience equals each license rule and posts this on its website. The Department of Veterans and Military Affairs consults with the division on these decisions. This reduces repeat schooling and speeds up licensing.
