UVI core funding and debt payments

The law provides $110,000 for a Labor Force Survey and $250,000 for UVI’s EPSCOR research in FY2026. The funding supports data collection and research infrastructure in the year ending September 30, 2026.

More money for job training

UVI gets $100,000 for CELL vocational training, $450,000 for the Hospitality and Tourism Program, and $200,000 for the UVI CELL Surveyor Program. The money supports classes and training in FY2026. Funds are for the year ending September 30, 2026.

UVI may raise tuition and fees

The UVI Board of Trustees can set reasonable fees for tuition, housing, food services, and use of university buildings. Fee income must be used only for the purposes named in this law. Students and campus users could pay higher charges if the Board raises them.
