Funding to keep Virgin Islands hospitals running

The law provides $67,000,000 from the General Fund for hospital operations from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026. Money pays for maintenance, supplies, equipment, and utilities. Schneider Regional Medical Center gets $29,250,000, the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute gets $1,500,000, and $3,500,000 covers Schneider utilities (subtotal $34,250,000). Juan F. Luis Hospital gets $27,750,000, the Cardiac Catheterization Center gets $1,500,000, and $3,500,000 covers JFL utilities (subtotal $32,750,000). This keeps care available for Virgin Islands residents. It does not send cash to households.
