Cigna medical and dental for Virgin Islands government workers
Beginning October 1, 2025, government workers keep group medical and dental coverage under renewed Cigna contracts. This applies to employees of listed government entities, eligible non-profits defined by the Government, and Frederiksted Health Care, Inc. Coverage, premiums, and benefits follow the terms in the renewed agreements.
UnitedHealthcare medical plan updated for government workers
Beginning January 1, 2026, group medical coverage continues under an amended UnitedHealthcare agreement. The amendment applies to employees of the listed government entities. Updated plan terms and benefits take effect on that date.
Government workers can choose employee-paid Cigna plans
Beginning October 1, 2025, optional Cigna plans are available for critical illness, accidental injury, and hospital care. Employees of the listed government entities and Frederiksted Health Care, Inc. can enroll. You pay the premiums by payroll deduction or directly. The plans add protection but increase your out-of-pocket costs if you enroll.
