Homeowners get coverage for solar damage

STF Solar, LLC must keep liability insurance for its project under Permit No. CZMJL0017-25. The insurance must be enough to pay property owners for damage to their property caused by the solar panels during a natural disaster. The law does not set dollar limits or coverage amounts. The project is on Parcels 3B and 2, Estate Fortuna, St. Thomas.

Permit clears St. Thomas solar project

The law approves Major Coastal Zone Management Permit No. CZMJL0017-25. STF Solar, LLC is authorized to build a solar array on Parcels 3B and 2, Estate Fortuna, St. Thomas. This approval ratifies the St. Thomas committee’s unanimous consent. It applies notwithstanding title 12 Virgin Islands Code, section 910(d)-(e). The law adds no new taxes or funding.
