Municipal solid waste facilities with loans keep fees

Owners or operators of municipal solid waste facilities with a state Clean Water Fund loan for wastewater treatment can keep some environmental repair fees. They may keep up to the total principal and interest owed on that loan while it is being repaid. They must still collect the fee from generators, arrangers, or haulers and send any amount above that to the Department of Natural Resources. This rule applies only during the loan repayment period.
