Lower Wisconsin taxes on Guard and Reserve pay

Starting with tax years beginning after December 31, 2025, Wisconsin lets Guard and Reserve members subtract certain military pay. This subtraction reduces your Wisconsin taxable income. It covers basic pay under 37 U.S.C. 204(a)(2). It also covers inactive-duty training pay under 37 U.S.C. 206 or 206a. You can claim it only for amounts not already exempt under other Wisconsin military pay rules.
