The law ratifies the 2024–25 contract between the UW System Board of Regents and the Wisconsin State Building Trades Negotiating Committee. It covers UW System building trades craft employees, except those assigned to UW–Madison. It is the agreement that unit employees approved and the Joint Committee on Employment Relations recommended and approved. The state authorizes funds from an existing appropriation to carry out the pay, benefits, and work rules in the contract.
Only the official, certified copy of the contract that the Board of Regents files with the Secretary of State is legally approved. Any draft or side agreement not in that certified copy is not approved by this law. The law takes effect the day after publication. Parts of the contract that list their own start dates take effect on those listed dates.
