The law keeps Medicaid for pregnant people through the last day of the month with the 60th day after the pregnancy ends. If federal officials approve, it lasts through the month with day 90 or day 365. Coverage continues during this period even if your family income changes. Your pregnancy must be medically verified and you must qualify under a pregnant-woman Medicaid category.
If your income is over the limit, you can qualify by spending or obligating the extra amount on medical care or personal health insurance premiums. When a pregnant person in your family qualifies this way, other pregnant family members get that Medicaid too. Coverage lasts through the last day of the month with the 60th day after the pregnancy ends. If federal officials approve, it can last through the month with day 90 or day 365. It continues during this time even if your family income later changes.
