Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER XXI— - ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK › § 192a
Changes the north and east borders of Rocky Mountain National Park. The north boundary is moved inside section 33, township 7 north, range 74 west. It now runs from the northwest corner of the NE¼ NE¼ of section 33, south to the southwest corner of that NE¼ NE¼, west to the southeast corner of the NW¼ NW¼ of the same section, then north to the northeast corner of that NW¼ NW¼ where it meets the park’s present north line. The east boundary is redrawn starting at the northeast corner of section 3, township 3 north, range 73 west and then follows many section and quarter‑section corners, a correction line, and part of the north branch of Fall River through townships 3–5 north and ranges 72–73 west (the law lists the exact corners). Some specific parcels remain part of the park: the NW¼ of the NE¼ and the east half of the NE¼ of the NW¼ of section 34, T5N R73W; certain lands in T4N R73W west of the hydrographic divide that bounds the Cow Creek and Aspen Brook watersheds; the east half of the NE¼ of section 35; the east half of the SE¼ and the SE¼ of the NE¼ of section 26; all of sections 24 and 25; and the east half of section 23. Other specific parcels are removed from the park and transferred to the Colorado National Forest (under normal National Forest laws): NW¼ of the NE¼ and NE¼ of the NW¼ of section 33, T7N R74W; section 6, T5N R72W; the SE¼ of the SE¼ of section 34, T5N R73W; and sections 3, 10, and 15, T4N R73W.
