The President may add certain Colorado lands to Rocky Mountain National Park by issuing a proclamation when the Secretary of the Interior recommends it. If the land is in a national forest, both the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Agriculture must recommend the addition. The lands are listed by township and range and include specific whole sections and parts of sections. They cover parcels in: Township 3 North, Range 75 West (Sections 5 and 6; most of Section 3; all of Section 4; parts of Sections 5, 9, 10, and 15); Township 4 North, Range 73 West (parts of Sections 17, 20, 28, 29, 32, 33, 34); Township 5 North, Range 73 West (all of Sections 6, 7, 18; part of 19); Township 5 North, Range 76 West (all of Sections 1, 2, 11–14, 23, 24; parts of 3, 10, 15, 22 east of the Continental Divide or on named mountain slopes); Township 6 North, Range 75 West (all of Sections 19, 30, 31; parts of 17, 18, 20, 29); and Township 6 North, Range 76 West (all of Sections 25, 26, 35, 36; parts of 13, 22–24, 27, 34 east of the Continental Divide). All lands added this way must follow the laws and rules that apply to Rocky Mountain National Park.
