The Secretary of the Interior must write to the Governors of North Carolina and Tennessee to say the Act was passed and approved and that the United States has taken over police authority for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If the Secretary accepts more jurisdiction over lands now or later included in the park, sections 2 through 9 will apply to those lands.
