3 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.
Heartland Project Adds Regional Gas Capacity
You in Illinois or Wisconsin may see more natural gas available because ANR's Heartland Project will add up to 473,000 dekatherms per day of firm transportation capacity to the Midwest. The project includes about 68.9 miles of new pipeline looping, new compressor stations, and other upgrades and is estimated to cost $902 million.
Project Capacity to Have Reservation Rates
If you are a business reserving pipeline capacity in Illinois or Wisconsin, ANR proposes incremental reservation rates that will apply to the Heartland Project capacity. The company estimates the Project cost at $902 million and says those incremental reservation rates will apply to the new capacity.
Water Quality Certification Required
If you live in Illinois or Wisconsin, the project needs a Clean Water Act section 401 water quality certificate from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. ANR must submit the certification request and either the agency's decision or evidence of waiver to FERC.
