3 provisions identified: 3 benefits, 0 costs, 0 mixed.
Deadline to Comment or Intervene
You can file comments, motions to intervene, or competing applications about the proposed Tom Bevill Lock and Dam hydropower study until 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on September 15, 2025. The Commission encourages electronic filing through its eFiling or eComment systems (comments up to 6,000 characters) or by mail to the Secretary at the addresses in the notice.
Property Owners Protected from Unpermitted Entry
If Bevill Hydroelectric receives a preliminary permit, the permit only gives priority to file a license application and does not allow the permit holder to do land-disturbing work or enter lands or waters owned by others without the owners' express permission. This protects private landowners' control over access to their property during the permit term.
FERC Help for Public Participation
FERC's Office of Public Participation (OPP) can help members of the public—including landowners, community organizations, and Tribal members—access information and make filings such as comments or motions. You can contact OPP at (202) 502-6595 or [email protected] for assistance with interventions, comments, or competing application filings.
