Antitrust Defense for Agreement Participants
If you join DOE's proposed Voluntary Agreement, you may get a legal defense against antitrust claims for actions taken within the agreement and its plans of action. The Assistant Attorney General found on December 12, 2025 that less anticompetitive options would not achieve the DPA purposes, and the agreement may become effective following the notice publication on December 19, 2025.
Consortium to Secure Nuclear Fuel Supply Chain
DOE's proposed Voluntary Agreement would establish a consortium and plans of action to keep domestic nuclear fuel supply chain capacity available for existing and future reactors. The consortium will address milling, conversion, enrichment, deconversion, fabrication, recycling and reprocessing, end users, and the Uranium Fuel Infrastructure Resilience Mechanism (UFIRM) and may begin after the notice publication on December 19, 2025.
