Abandonment of Three Kansas Storage Wells

Southern Star will abandon two wells in the South Welda Storage Field (Anderson County, Kansas) and one well in the Piqua Storage Field (Woodson County, Kansas). The wells will be remediated by removing the wellhead assembly and cutting and capping the casing; Southern Star says this will not eliminate or reduce service to customers and will not affect total gas storage inventory, reservoir pressure, reservoir or buffer boundaries, or certificated capacity.
