Temporary Reservoir Drawdown Aug–Oct 2026

If you live near the Androscoggin River in Coos County, New Hampshire, the operator plans to lower the Sawmill reservoir from 1,094.5 feet to 1,093.5 feet (a 1.0-foot drawdown) between August 1 and October 1, 2026 to replace waste gates. The drawdown would proceed no faster than six inches per 24-hour period, keep run-of-river operations with a minimum bypass flow, and the operator would refill the reservoir by releasing 90% of inflow downstream and using 10% to refill.
