Study Time Burden on Healthcare Workers
If you are a healthcare worker in a post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or a veterinary hospital, you may be asked to take part in a CDC study that requires about 55 minutes of contact per sampling event (10 minutes for consent, 10 minutes to put on/take off sampling devices, 20 minutes for a full post-shift questionnaire, and 5 minutes for a short acute-symptom questionnaire). The study aims for 150 participants who complete both exposure assessment and questionnaire (maximum sample size 280) and estimates a total respondent burden of 124 hours; CDC says there is no cost to respondents other than their time and requests OMB approval for three years.
