Major LNG and Pipeline Capacity Expansion

Venture Global filed on May 26, 2026 to expand its CP2 LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana by about 11.7 million metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) of liquefaction/export capacity and to add about 1,900 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) of pipeline capacity. The applicants estimate the expansion project cost at $825,971,448.

Any person may file comments, protests, or a motion to intervene in the FERC proceeding for dockets CP26-530-000 and CP26-533-000 at no cost. The deadline to file a motion to intervene or submit comments or protests is 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on June 30, 2026.

Section 401 Water Quality Certification Needed

The applicants stated that a Clean Water Act Section 401 water quality certificate is required for the project from the Railroad Commission of Texas and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, and applicants should submit the certification decision or evidence of waiver to FERC.
