Track B requests a permanent indoor memorial at DOT in Washington, District of Columbia, with maximum dimensions of 4' (width) x 2' (depth) x 4' (height) and expectations for structural longevity (e.g., seismic anchors) to minimize long-term maintenance burden on DOT.

Prize Payment and Tax Responsibility

DOT will pay the cash prize by electronic funds transfer and the winner is responsible for any applicable local, State, and Federal taxes; DOT will comply with IRS withholding and reporting requirements where applicable.

AI Usage Must Be Disclosed

Any use of AI tools in preparing a submission must be disclosed, including tool name, approximate percentage of the document generated or assisted by AI, and purpose; DOT may reject submissions that used AI in an unethical or illegal manner.
