Temporary safety zone on Des Plaines River
On July 3, 2026, from 9:15 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the Coast Guard will enforce a safety zone on the Des Plaines River at Mile Marker 288 covering a 500-foot radius around the fireworks launch site at 41°31.522' N, 088°05.244' W. During that time, vessels may not enter, transit, or anchor inside the zone unless authorized by the Captain of the Port or a designated representative.
