If you plan to be on the Ouachita River near West Monroe, LA, you may NOT enter the water between mile markers 166.5 and 167.5 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on July 4, 2026, unless the Captain of the Port or their representative gives you permission. To request permission, contact the Captain of the Port on VHF‑FM channel 16 or call (866) 360-3386.
