Large Contractors Must Share Cost Systems

If you are a certain large business contractor, the DFARS clause 252.215-7002 requires you to establish an acceptable cost estimating system and disclose that system in writing to the administrative contracting officer. You must also maintain the system, disclose significant changes in writing, and respond in writing to Government reports that identify material weaknesses.

Paperwork Time Burden for Businesses

Businesses or other for-profit and not-for-profit institutions responding to this DFARS information collection face an average burden of 42.2 hours per response. The collection lists 124 respondents, about 147 annual responses, and a total annual burden of about 6,200 hours under OMB Control Number 0704-0232.
