48‑Hour Limit for Bolivar Anchorage (A) East

If you anchor a vessel in the Bolivar Anchorage area (A) East in Galveston Harbor, you may not stay longer than 48 hours unless the Captain of the Port Houston‑Galveston expressly authorizes a longer stay. The rule matches the existing 48‑hour limits for areas (A), (B), and (C), allows exceptions for stress of weather, and says permission for longer anchoring may be obtained through Coast Guard Vessel Traffic Service on VHF‑FM channels 12 (156.60 MHz) or 13 (156.65 MHz).
