Summary
In compliance with the requirement for opportunity for public comment on proposed data collection projects of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, HRSA announces plans to submit an Information Collection Request (ICR), described below, to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Prior to submitting the ICR to OMB, HRSA seeks comments from the public regarding the burden estimate, below, or any other aspect of the ICR.

New 'Vulnerable Background' Eligibility
The NHSC renamed and revised the prior "disadvantaged background" criteria to "vulnerable background." To get a funding priority based on background, you must meet the NHSC definition of either an educationally/geographically vulnerable background or an economically vulnerable background. Spanish Language Assessment Required When Relevant
If Spanish proficiency is relevant to your NHSC LRP application, you may need to complete the NHSC Spanish Language Assessment Proficiency Test. HRSA estimates 3,006 responses to that form at 0.50 hours per response for a total of 1,503 annual burden hours.
