Permission-to-Reapply Requirement Continues
If you were removed (deported or excluded) or illegally reentered the United States and are inadmissible under INA sections 212(a)(9)(A) or 212(a)(9)(C), you must use Form I-212 (Application for Permission to Reapply for Admission) to seek consent to reapply. If USCIS approves the application, you may then apply for a visa from the Department of State as an immigrant or nonimmigrant.
