FERC will prepare an environmental document under the National Environmental Policy Act that will analyze effects on geology and soils; water resources and wetlands; vegetation and wildlife; threatened and endangered species; cultural resources; land use; air quality and noise; and reliability and safety. The public may submit comments to help decide which issues to study; comments must be filed by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on October 22, 2026.
