Summary

This law lets the House Legislative Counsel appoint and use multiple Deputy Legislative Counsels to carry out the office's legal drafting functions. It provides that a Deputy Legislative Counsel will perform the Legislative Counsel's functions and requires the Legislative Counsel to file a notice with the Speaker and the Minority Leader specifying the order that determines which deputy acts when there are multiple deputies, updates statutory text to "Deputy Legislative Counsels", and sets the act's short title as the House Office of Legislative Counsel Modernization Act.
