Show full summary
- Gives service planners a single view of RDT&E facility data across departments. The dashboard would show location, manager, building age, size, condition, mission dependency, and programmed civil engineering projects with their values.
- Requires tracking of Equipment Replacement Value for non-real property test equipment using Real Property Unique Identifiers or an approved equivalent. It must also track unfunded facility requirements and summarize laboratory real property and non-real property metrics.
- Would require a USD(R&E) recommendation three years after enactment on whether to continue the tool and a notice to Congress shortly after the dashboard becomes operational. The authority to operate the dashboard would end in 2030.

Central dashboard for military labs
This bill would require the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering to build a central dashboard within one year after enactment. The dashboard would track RDT&E facility data across military departments, including location, facility manager, building number, plant replacement value, age, size, building condition index, mission dependency index, programmed civil engineering projects and their values, and unfunded facility requirements. It would summarize laboratory real property and non-real property data, use Real Property Unique Identifiers (or an approved equivalent) for equipment replacement value, integrate with existing financial tools, and display trends. The Under Secretary would certify to congressional defense committees within 30 days after establishment that the dashboard is operational and meets the requirements. The Under Secretary would give the Secretary of Defense a recommendation on whether to continue the dashboard within three years and notify the congressional defense committees of that recommendation within 15 days. The authority to operate the dashboard would end on December 30, 2030.
