More heart health grants for states

If enacted, HHS would award $2 million each year from 2026 through 2030 to states that get federal heart health funding. States would use the money to make culturally appropriate, evidence-based heart health materials, such as nutrition guidance, diet plans, and exercise programs. States could also fund community groups serving South Asian and other hard-hit communities, support conferences to include those communities in research, and back research on heart disease and type 2 diabetes. The money would go to states and community programs, not directly to households.
