Summary
Would require Federal Employee Health Benefits to cover fertility treatment. Fertility care in federal health plans
If you are enrolled in an FEHB plan, fertility care could be covered starting one year after enactment. Services could include egg, sperm, or embryo preservation; insemination; IVF when doctors say it is needed; embryo genetic testing; fertility medicines; and donor gametes. OPM, with HHS, could add more fertility services over time. It would not guarantee every service in every plan. What your plan covers and what you pay would depend on your plan and clinical rules.
