Seniors could buy tree nuts with vouchers
If enacted, low-income seniors in the Seniors Farmers' Market Nutrition Program could use their checks to buy tree nuts, including shelled nuts. It would not change who can join the program or the dollar amount of checks. The bill does not add funding or set an effective date. Farmers and market vendors could sell tree nuts under the program.
