Tax credits end for clean cars and gear
If enacted, this bill would end several federal tax credits for clean vehicles and charging or refueling gear. You could not claim the used clean vehicle credit or the new plug-in vehicle credit for cars acquired after the date of enactment. Businesses could not claim the commercial clean vehicle credit for vehicles acquired after that date. The alternative motor vehicle credit would end for property purchased after enactment. The refueling property credit would end for equipment placed in service after enactment. This would raise the after-tax cost for many buyers.
