Ban U.S. funding for U.N. iVerify

If enacted, federal agencies would be barred from using U.S. funds to build or support tools that label speech as misinformation, disinformation, or malinformation. This would include the U.N. iVerify platform and any similar systems. The ban would also block voluntary U.S. contributions to the United Nations or any other international group for these efforts. If funds are withheld under this ban, they would be permanently canceled when the Secretary makes the named determination. Those funds would go to the Treasury’s general fund and would not count as arrears owed to the U.N.
