Limits on mid-decade congressional redistricting
This bill would stop states from redrawing U.S. House districts again mid-decade after they finish a post-census map. Courts could still order a new map to fix violations of the U.S. Constitution, the Voting Rights Act, or a state constitution. A state could also do a mid-decade redraw only if its implementing law clearly required another map. This would apply to redistricting that happens after the 2020 census. It would not change how states run state or local elections.
