Limits abortion reimbursements from health accounts

If enacted, this bill would make abortion costs ineligible for tax-favored treatment in many health accounts. You could not use HSAs or Archer MSAs to pay for most abortions. You generally could not get reimbursement from employer FSAs, HRAs, or section 105 plans for most abortions. Retiree 401(h) health accounts also could not pay for most abortions. Exceptions are abortions after rape or incest, or when a physician certifies the pregnancy threatens the woman's life. These rules would apply to payments or expenses for tax years beginning after December 31, 2025.
