Federal list would include nitazenes

This bill would add “nitazenes” to the Department of Homeland Security’s enumerated substances list in the Homeland Security Act (6 U.S.C. 182(15)). If enacted, DHS components and other federal programs that use that list would be directed to test for and report these drugs. That change could help detection, interdiction, laboratory testing, and public-health responses to nitazenes. The bill does not provide funding or create a new program or deadline for agencies to act.
