Sponsored By: Representative Biggs, Andy [R-AZ-5]
Introduced
Summary
Blocks the National Endowment for the Humanities from using federal funds to carry out Section 7 of the National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities Act of 1965. The bill would bar NEH from using appropriated funds in any fiscal year to support or implement Section 7. It would take effect on the first day of the first fiscal year after enactment, does not provide alternative funding or a phase-in, and limits its effect to Section 7 activities as they pertain to NEH while leaving other NEH functions and the rest of the 1965 Act unchanged.
