Faster farm loan approvals pilot
If enacted, this bill would create a pilot to speed approvals for farm ownership loans. The pilot would cover direct farm ownership loans and guaranteed farm ownership loans that a Preferred Certified Lender services when that lender finds the borrower creditworthy. The Agriculture Secretary would start the pilot not later than 1 year after enactment, send an initial report within 1 year, and then send annual reports to the House and Senate Agriculture Committees. The pilot would only allow shortening application timing and would not let agencies waive other statutory loan requirements. The pilot authority would end on September 30, 2031.
